Cookie Bags 101

Cookie bags are all about sizing and functionality. You don’t want them too big or your cookie will wiggle around all over the place and you dont want them too small becasue that makes them hard to package and hard for your customers to open. So you want them jusssst right.

And dont forget to remeber your processing time when purchasing your cookie bags. Most new cookiers fall into the trap of getting those “self sealing” bags. Which are great if you are a hobby baker and are only doing a dozen cookies a month. But if you have a bakery side hustle or are in the process of opening one a heat sealer for your cookie bags is a life saver! This little machine saves soooooooo much time when packaging, no more sticking and restickng to make sure you got it just right. You just press and boom perfectly sealed cookies. And the bags for the heatsealer are typically more affordable than the self sealing ones! The heat sealer that I have was under $50 and you can snag one on Amazon here.

But like with box shopping you never know what you’re going to get when you’re internet shopping.

So as someone who has spent the time and money trying to find the perfect bags here is a list of my go to bags. My favorite supplier for cookie bags is clearbags.com. they have a huge variety of sizes and prices so you can find good quality bags in you budget. And you can even get biodegradble bags if thats your thing !
